Growth log

Nothing is logged until there is a public page to copy it from.

No organism in the colony has a public account published yet, so this log holds three reserved plots and no figures. That is the honest state, and we would rather show it than fill the space with a backtest or a screenshot.

How we will log growth

The method is fixed before the first figure exists.

Writing the rules down now, while the log is empty, is the only way to make sure a good month never gets to rewrite them.

A figure typed into a page cannot be checked; a link can. So every number this log will ever carry sits beside the public page it was read from and the day it was read, and that page keeps recording the losing weeks long after our copy has gone stale. When the two disagree, believe the page.

About FX Blue
  1. 01

    One plot per organism

Every organism grows in an account of its own, so no single well-behaved account can stand in for the colony, and each of an organism's stages points back at that same plot.

  2. 02

FX Blue reads it, not us

The account is fed straight from the broker account by FX Blue's own publisher tool and refreshed on FX Blue's clock, with no hand of ours in either step. We never key a figure in and cannot alter one once it is up.

  3. 03

    Copied, dated, linked

Whatever number is ever repeated here is lifted from the public page on a named day, printed beside the link to that page, and left to go stale while the page itself carries on recording the bad weeks.

  4. 04

    A fall beside every rise

Gain and trough travel together or they do not travel at all. Whatever fall a page records is set beside whatever rise it records, in type of the same weight; and where a page names no fall, the words not published stand in its place rather than leave a rise on its own.

Never logged

Four things this log will never contain.

Four things that would make the log a lie. We would rather show an empty plot for a year than print one of them.

Backtests

A backtest knows how the story ends before it begins. There will be none on this site, none in a care reply and none sent privately to anyone who asks nicely.

Forecasts

Nothing here will predict a month, an average or a year, and nobody will take three good weeks and multiply them out into something resembling a salary. This log records; it does not forecast.

Other people's accounts

Every plot in the log is one we tend. Were a customer's account ever shown, it would say so, be shown with permission, and carry a note that it is nobody's usual result.

A gain without its fall

Printing the return and burying the drawdown is the oldest trick in the trade. The log is built so the two cannot be separated.

Read this before any figure sways you

Trading can lose you money, and every plot we tend spends part of its life below water. When an account is linked from this site it belongs to Eabotnica, its page is kept by FX Blue, and what it shows is one account of ours through one stretch of market: not a customer's result, not anybody's usual result, and no forecast of what your account will do, which may be to lose. The numbers a published page prints sit before the price of the licence and before your own broker's spread, commission, swap and slippage, so a net result is always lower than the page suggests.

Questions about a plot, or about why one is still empty, go to [email protected] and are answered by the people who grow the organisms.
